‘Unlocking Potential’ Employment & Development Outreach Worker

Full-time role, 6 month fixed term contract with possible extension. £22 - £25k pa depending on experience. 

This full-time, paid 6 month post is new to our young persons' project, to increase our engagement with the target client group in specific communities and areas. The role will be co-hosted by two project partners, Aspire based in central Oxford and SOFEA based in Didcot

Reporting to Aspire’s Building Better Opportunities Project Manager, the post holder will:

• Be responsible for working collaboratively with Aspire and SOFEA employment and development workers to support the engagement of eligible young people in the community. You will be the initial point of contact, promoting opportunities that are available to unlock the potential of NEET young people in Oxfordshire.

• Identify eligible participants for the Unlocking Potential project by working with other agencies, young people’s organisations and support services in an outreach capacity. Focussing on encouraging and supporting clients to participate in targeted career & employability development advice, linked to identifying local education, training and employment development & opportunities for your clients to pursue.

Young Adults' Employment & Development GROW Worker

Part-time role (3 days per week), 12 month paid placement. £8.93 per hour. 

Aspire has secured funding from The Lloyds Bank Foundation to employ a 12 month, part-time “GROW” Employment & Development Worker in training, to work specifically with young adults aged 20-24. This placement is an exciting opportunity to take on a paid developmental role in our organisation, to learn and develop new skills for future employment in a supportive and positive, professional environment.
