Employers' Conference

Find out how inclusive recruitment can benefit your business

“The Power of Inclusive Recruitment” Employers’ Conference

Wednesday 25th April 9.30am – 2pm at Unipart Conference Centre, Oxford

As part of Responsible Business Week 2018, Aspire Oxford is set to organise another business conference on 'The Power of Inclusive Recruitment', following the success of last year’s event which signalled a step change in the way that businesses recruit.

Oxfordshire’s tight labour market and low unemployment is creating major recruitment challenges for businesses. But there are thousands of local people who want to work and could do so, given the right support. Businesses that offer inclusive recruitment to disadvantaged groups such as ex-offenders can benefit from filling their job vacancies with dedicated, hard-working people who just need a chance to move back into the world of work.

The conference is supported by the High Sheriff of Oxfordshire and key members of the Responsible Business Group “Reciprocate” and will be hosted by Unipart.

When: Wednesday 25th April 9.30am – 2pm

Where: Unipart Conference Centre, Unipart House, Oxford

The event: There is a superb line up of speakers confirmed from leading employers who have seen first-hand the benefits of recruiting from disadvantaged groups, including Pret a Manger, University College, Oxfam and Hello Fresh.

This event is free to attend and will be an inspiring networking experience for local businesses. The conference is another valuable opportunity for businesses to address their recruitment challenges and pave the way towards a culture of inclusivity at the same time. Employers attending can also learn about the advice and in-work support available to give them confidence in recruiting from disadvantaged groups.

There will also be an opportunity for businesses to find out about the practical support and advice available to inform your recruitment needs from local, expert partner organisations in Oxfordshire, followed by a networking lunch.

All attendees will also receive a free, practical guide on how to recruit successfully from disadvantaged groups, and the opportunity to register to find out more about ‘in-work’ support and upcoming 1-day free training for your employees to become effective buddies in the workplace for new recruits.

How to sign up: Places are going fast so we advise anyone interested to contact Rosa Curness on 01865 204450 or email rosa@aspireoxford.co.uk as soon as possible to book your free place. Alternatively please register on the Eventbrite page for the event.
